Movie Night Bingo – Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 August 2026
Movie Night Bingo does not collect any data about you.
That is the whole policy. The rest of this page explains what that means in practice.
What is stored, and where
Everything the app remembers stays on your device:
- The card you currently have in play, and which tiles you have dabbed
- Your finished nights, with their film titles, and how many bingos you have had
- Any packs you have written or copied
- Your chosen theme, dab mark, dab colour, and whether the fanfare is on
- A random number generated once when you install, used only so that two phones on the same room code deal different arrangements of the same pack
None of it is transmitted anywhere. There is no account, no sign-in, and no way for the app to associate anything with you. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Network activity
None. Movie Night Bingo makes no network requests at all.
Playing together does not need any, which is the whole idea behind the four-character room code: the code itself carries the pack, the card size, and the deal, so two phones that type the same code arrive at the same game without ever talking to each other or to a server. The app works the same in a basement with no signal.
Sharing a card or a pack uses the standard iOS share sheet, which hands the text to whichever app you choose. Movie Night Bingo does not send it anywhere itself.
What Movie Night Bingo does not do
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers
- No tracking across apps or websites
- No third-party SDKs of any kind
- No location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone access
- No accounts and no sign-in
- Nothing sold or shared, because nothing is collected
Children
Movie Night Bingo collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
Tips
The tip jar uses Apple’s standard in-app purchase system. Tips are optional, unlock nothing, and are handled entirely by Apple. Movie Night Bingo never sees your payment details. The only thing it records is a count of how many times you have tipped, kept on your device so it can say thank you.
Changes
Any change to this policy will appear on this page with a new date above.
