Frequently Asked Questions

• How do I install the keyboard?
  Open the iOS Settings app, then go to General, Keyboard, Keyboards, Add New Keyboard, and choose Sekshun8. You do not need to allow Full Access.
• Why does iOS say the keyboard "shares data with the app"?
  iOS shows that notice for every custom keyboard. Sekshun8 shares only your chosen style settings (for example 1337 Hard or Morse) with the main app so the two stay in sync. What you type is never read, stored, or sent anywhere.
• How do I change the style while typing?
  Tap the style button on the keyboard's top bar to cycle through 1337 Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert, then ROT13, Mocking, Morse, Upside Down, Fullwidth, and Small Caps. The button on the left turns encoding on and off.
• Why doesn't decoding give back my exact original text?
  Leetspeak is intentionally lossy. Several letters can map to the same symbol, so the decoder makes its best guess. ROT13, Morse, fullwidth, upside down, and small caps all reverse exactly.
• What are the complexity levels?
  Easy uses light, readable swaps. Medium covers more letters. Hard uses symbol-heavy multi-character glyphs. Expert is full 1337 chaos with the widest set of alternates.
• Where are the AI features?
  The codename generator and the daily challenge hint use Apple Intelligence and run entirely on your device. They are hidden automatically on devices that do not support Apple Intelligence.
• What are tips used for?
  Tips are entirely optional and go directly toward supporting continued development. Every feature in the app is free. Thank you!

Sekshun8 turns ordinary text into leetspeak and other classic internet ciphers, then converts it back again. It includes 1337 at four complexity levels, ROT13, mOcKiNg case, Morse code, upside down text, fullwidth, and small caps.

The custom keyboard lets you type in code directly inside any app. There is also a share extension, Shortcuts and Siri support, a daily hacker quote widget, conversion history with favorites, and eight accent themes.

Sekshun8 is completely free. Every feature is unlocked, with an optional tip jar for anyone who wants to support development.
